Why I Guide Executives Through Burnout

For years, I was the Fortune 500 executive who had everything and felt nothing. When our company was acquired, I watched purpose become profit, service become extraction, meaning become metrics. I stayed for the money. I drank to survive the staying.

I couldn't quit—I'd built a prison of comfort and called it success. I couldn't speak—who admits to drowning while standing on top? I couldn't name it—we lack vocabulary for successful suffering.

Men are taught self-reliance; I practiced self-destruction. Society debates masculine identity; I was losing mine entirely. I used sick days like breathing apparatus, stealing moments of oxygen before diving back under.
